Zen and the art of Countersteering

Denizens of Doom, as perceived by catness...

Back in the day, I could sometimes be found on rec.motorcycles, or much more often, ne.motorcycles, posting with abandon... flaming women for being sexist, flaming men for being clueless, shamelessly advertising my band's gigs, making ridiculously unfunny jokes, and about 4% of the time talking about motorcycles. I still do that, but on the NEDoD list. I'm not even sure if any of the hosts I use actually have newsreaders anymore. (Usenet? What the hell is usenet?)

Some of the motorcycle content I generate has a slightly twisted slant. Sometimes it's so twisted that I don't have to generate it myself. An example by Ken Zetie.

I am DoD Conformist #1330, Keeper of the Keeper of the List Decoy #1, Founder of the Calamari Club (Squid Wannabes), and self-appointed Keeper of the Fabulous Babe List for NEDoD. This is my bike.

For the record, there are three NEDoD Fabulous Babes... Steph of the Moving Violations and flaming red hair, Jacquie of the flaming red Ducati, and Caroline of the smouldering... um, personality.

In the past few years, I've been spending a lot of time at the race track, spectating and cornerworking. I'm totally psyched to be a member of The Broad Squad, and I used to race with Team Daemon Racing (phear the g33ks on race bikes). (And yeah, countless times I've heard "hey, I saw you on TV!" in bike shops. I guess I'm on TV a lot, although I rarely see it; I'm the redhead that happens to always be in the corners where the fast guys crash when there are cameras at the races. (Duhamel: T6/NHIS - AMA 1997, Bostrom: T6/NHIS - AMA 1998, Lopez/Grigg: T3-T10/NHIS - FUSA 1998.) Go figure.)
