Christianborgslot was built (and rebuilt many times) as the royal residence in Copenhagen, but ceased to function as such in the 18th century. It now houses the Parliament, the Supreme Court, and the Royal Receiving Rooms, as well as the exhibition in the basements of the ruins of previous castles on the site.
