Our landlady surprised us by confessing that she was born and raised in the US, despite the thick accent she's developed in her twenty years in Edinburgh. The inside of the inn was lovely, though we could have asked for better mattresses. Being right on the busline to the center, it was a convenient base for exploring the town. The name is taken from an ancient name for Edinburgh.
