The book is published through Avon Books, aka AvonNova, copyright 1994 and it is REALLY cool. There is a charming one-liner on the front from Roger Zelazny:
"TERRIFIC... on of the brightest new writers to come along in years"
Which leads me to believe this is an early effort. If so, we can expect amazing things from Ms. Lindskold. Cuz basically, she rocks.
The main character speaks only in verse, whatever's been read to her she memorizes and uses to communicate. And most of what's been read to her is Shakespeare and the Bible. If anyone ever takes on the task of annotating the book I will pay a significant sum for the result. If you have any love of classic literature, this is an amazing meld of a somewhat cyberpunk future and the classics. Beautiful.
So, what I'm saying here is I like the book. Mail me and I might loan it to you. Otherwise, go out & buy it ya fool, it's only $5. Not much of a detailed review, but I'm not into giving anything away. If you want more details, you can ask. I might update this when I actually have time to really discuss it.
