Date: Mon, 26 Jun 2000 20:11:30 -0400 From: Kafka Dreams To: void Subject: under pressure The thunderstorms are sliding around, banging and flashing, dumping some rain here and there, but not letting go, not easing off the PRESSURE and it's building inside my skull, a band of tightness looping around the back of my head, hooking up to the plate-tectonic headache pain from one temple across and above my eyes to the other, with screws just above and behind my ears drilling in, pulsing. It feels good to interlace my fingers on top of my head and pull down. I keep waiting for the cracking, one way or the other. I begin to understand the allure of trepanation.
