Where I Am Now

I'm currently gainfully unemployed and having a great time doing nothing that's too organized. The only specific business affiliation I have is as a director of the Nonprofit Outreach Network, a nonprofit foundation that I started this spring whose goal is to help other nonprofits get information up on the net.

I live in Cambridge, and own and sometimes hang out at Rancho Apocalypse which is a group living house where I used to live until I decided I needed more privacy and wanted to try living alone and write lots of run-on sentences. I've almost always lived in group houses since I was in college, and I'm pretty interested in intentional communities, a topic I'll write about if I ever get around to it.

Although I'm no longer an IAB member, I'm still planning on remaining active in the IETF and the Internet community. I couldn't attend the Stockholm IETF (summer of 1995) but I'm planning to attend the next IETF, in Dallas in December of 1995. I'll also soon sort out which working groups I'll be involved in.

I also own and maintain Apocalypse.org, which I use to follow a long tradition of giving friends free net access. On Apocalypse, I also provide space to a number of organizations like Circlet Press and DeSelby Productions which I think are cool, and projects like The Flash Girls home page. I also run the Leadheads mailing list, for fans of the band Boiled In Lead.
