I do all my HTML by hand, cuz I'm a freak. And I'm too lazy to learn new tools unless I absolutely have to. I don't know HTML very well, so I'm unlikely to ever do anything fancy with this web page. BUT... I do update the page and add content, and really, isn't content what everyone actually cares about?

I really did start this web page back in November of 1994. I've been on the net since 1989. If you saw stuff from kjc AT any Rutgers DOT edu address from 1989-1994, it was probably me. Since 1994, I've used kjc AT apocalypse pretty much exclusively.

My old web page (which looked the same from about 1996 thru 2003) had a bunch of goofy little clickable things that I got rid of, both because they were a pain to maintain and because I no longer appreciate the really busy design asthetic. Also, the black background gave me a headache.

These pages are really simple. In fact, they could be considered boring from a design point of view. But the fact is that I care much more about my writing, and making it easy for people to read my writing, than I care about anything else (at least, with regard to web design).

I always appreciate feedback and generally will respond.
