Hi Hutch!
No, this bit isn't only for Hutch - he's just the one who
likes to know what I changed, so I thought I'd provide a
list for his amusement (and that of anyone else who cares).
9 June 2007
Updated Pub
Fiction with a new collection of science fiction short
stories set in bars called Cosmic Cocktails, edited by Denise
Little.
2 February 2007
Forgot to mention yesterday that a couple months ago I updated
Pub
Fiction with a new collection of bar tales edited by Kealan
Patrick Burke called Taverns of the Dead. It's a horror
collection.
1 February 2007
Holy crap. It's 2007! I updated Pub
Fiction with the fact that
(1) Larry Niven's Draco Tavern stories have been collected in a
Tor paperback called, The Draco Tavern and (2) Lord Dunsany's
Jorkens stories are all out in three hardcover volumes. I also
updated the Pub
Fiction redux
16 August 2006
Updated Pub
Fiction with two newish Larry Niven stories set in
Draco's Tavern (and also fixed a link to the Larry Niven
homepage). Then I added Allen Steele's short story collection
(which contains the Diamondback Jack stories) Sex And Violence
In Zero-G to the book section. I also updated the Pub Fiction
redux
and fixed a formatting error there.
26 March 2006
I created a new section, Books I Have
Read. It's got brief reviews
of some books I've read. Yay!
I've also re-arranged and added links to my Webcomics
webpage.
And, Collective Inkwell died a long time ago. I stuffed the columns
into PDF files and need to set them up here, but haven't done it yet.
I've written more stuff for Comixpedia but haven't gotten
around to
updating my Published
Material page. Sorry. I'll try and get more
updates in here. Not that anyone out there cares, but still, it's
important to me. Just don't mention RSS feeds. I need to think
about that more.
30 October 2005
I updated my webcomics list.
I think I must have updated other
stuff in the past EIGHTEEN MONTHS,
but I can't think of what...
11 April 2004
What a sucky couple of months. Winter bites. I've had a couple of
columns published at Collective
Inkwell - yes, more of my regular
column known as "A Writing
Life." The March column didn't go
up (by misconfig) so it just went
up last week. It's called "The
Newsletter."
The April column is called "I
Must Write.".
21 February 2004
I started a new column at a new website. The website is called
Collective Inkwell. My
column is called "A Writing Life." This
is
column number one. It's called "Introduction." I also put
this link
in my Published
Material page.
17 February 2004
I went through and updated all the links for my Published
Material
section. Comixpedia went through a server update, then two
catastrophic crashes that killed some archives. The articles have
been put back together by hand from drafts, but not everything's
up yet.
Aw crap. I just realized I'm gonna hafta fix all the pointers to
ComixPedia articles HERE too. Or make them non-links. Poo.
25 January 2004
Long time, no write! I actually did a minor update a couple months
ago, but failed to note it here. Anyway, new stuff. Just put up
today,
we have my ComixPedia review of Angst
Technology by Barry T.
Smith. Back on 7 December 2003, ComixPedia published my feature
article interviewing various creators on what they thought was the
best and worst of 2003... it's called: "2003:
Year in Review From
the Mouth of Your Fave Webtoonists". And finally, back in October
(I think I actually put this up back then), ComixPedia published my
ComixPedia review of Elsie Hooper by Robert Krzykowski.
All were
put up at my Published
Material section.
I suspect that Published
Material needs an overhall. ComixPedia
just updated it's format and completely changed all the archives.
I'll work on that shortly.
I also fiddled with the organization of the list of webcomics
that I
read, sorting some of the unsorted, updating those on hiatus and
noting comics that have shifted over to FOR PAY sites.
7 September 2003
15 August 2003
Added a minor detail to Pub Fiction
- The Innkeeper's Song (which
I just finished reading) by Peter S. Beagle is the first book of two
involving the Gaff & Slasher Inn.

4 May 2003
28 April 2003
15 April 2003
Aw, what the hell. Put the range of publication dates for each
section of stuff I've written on my web page. So,
since I haven't
written a flame since April of 2000, I put the
date range in as
1989 - 2000.
14 April 2003
12 April 2003
4 April 2003
Updated a bunch of webcomics
stuff - added a bunch of
unsorted strips I like just to get the URLs in there (I maintain
too many different bookmark sets) and updated several sites
that
have moved to www.girlamatic.com.
1 April 2003
24 March 2003
23 March 2003
22 March 2003
16 March 2003
11 March 2003
Finally started a page on print
comics of my very sparse little
comics page,
after poking around on the Diamond Comic
Distributor web
site and remember a lot of the names of comics
that I read. (I have a
terrible memory for recalling things
off-hand, without context... like
a list of names).
9 March 2003
Well, I put up the cooking stuff last night, late enough to consider
it as happening on the 9th. And today, I got up and did a bunch of
things and am updating again. So, sorta two different entries but
within 24 hours.
I added a new section to my Cooking
page: a page on Quick and
Easy Cooking, which includes a recipe for Ham
Steaks with Apple
Cider pan sauce (along with other suggestions on how to put
together a meal quickly and simply using either advanced planning
or short cuts like box mixes). Also put the Ham Steaks recipe
under the recipe section.
3 March 2003
28 February 2003
A couple of people sent me input for my pub fiction
web page.
(Thanks to JB and Jean!) Added notations for those new stories
and started pursuing a possible new collection of pub/bar/tavern
stories with a horror and dark fantasy theme from Cemetery
Dance magazine &
publishing house (apparently coming soon).
And, since I updated pub
fiction, I also updated pub fiction
redux
(without all my scribbles and annotations).
25 February 2003
I put Rumble Girls by Lea
Hernandez (a FOR-PAY site) over in
web
comics that I read cuz I just subscribed to it.
24 February 2003
21 February 2003
Per a pointer from someone who read my page, Cemetery
Dance magazine & publishing house is going to be putting
out an anthology about horror/dark fantasy stories set in an
inn, pub or tavern... browsed the site, didn't see any mention.
Will look harder soon and add it to Pub
Fiction.
20 February 2003
17 February 2003
Updated my chili recipe
since we made it again on Friday and
used 1 tsp. of chili powder instead of 2 and it came out much
milder.
13 February 2003
Started a new section called PUBLISHED
WORK for stuff
written by me and published by someone else. Right now, it
only has my first webcomic review for ComixPedia, the webzine
about web comics at www.comixpedia.com. But I've
submitted
three more reviews and am working on a 5th. Plus, I've sent in
part one of a two-part article and have high hopes that they will
publish it. (No guarantees, though)
12 February 2003
Added a link to and re-organized the list of web
comics that I
read.
8 February 2003
6 February 2003
Hullo. I finally took the plunge. Even though I haven't finished
lots of the pages I intended to have done before launching the
NEW version of my
webpage (the file which used to be called
"newhome.html"),
I've replaced the old page with the new page
and moved my OLD
homepage here.
2 February 2003
29 January 2003
Stuck all of my talk.bizarre postings from April of 1994 to
December of 1995 (which is when I posted to the group and
attended a couple of parties) here. Some
fairly amusing stuff.
10 January 2003
Yesterday I fixed a link in my people page and
fixed some
formatting and added META tags. Lots and lots of META
tags.
Today I added a section on Comics and Web
Comics (although
right now, there's just a list of URLs for web comics that I read).
Eventually it'll have titles of physical comics that I read, books
about comics that I like, and some comics-related resources.
Maybe some criticism.
I also added a section on Random Trivia
which is stuff that I find
out & need to stash someplace so I can find it again.
8 January 2003
7 January 2003
3 January 2003
Updated some data points on the Pub Fiction
page with some help
from AMB (who knew the answers to the
unanswered questions).
30 December 2002
Got some good feedback on my HTML on the Pub Fiction
page
(which is primative) and cleaned it up. Go me.
26... er, 27 December 2002
Oh my it's late. I did a whole pile of GOOGLE-ing and added lots of
stuff to Pub
Fiction.
24 December 2002
I created a new section called Pub Fiction
AKA Bar Tales (i.e.
published fantasy and science fiction stories set
in bars). It amuses
me. I also put another link into other
pages people might enjoy if
they like my writing.
22 December 2002
19 December 2002
I'm working on a NEW, much
simpler version of my web page.
It's got a new section, on cooking, and
pointers to other
pages
people might enjoy if they like my writing.
Tell me whatcha think.
29 November 2002
Still playing around with my Alt.Pub.Dragons-Inn
web pages - mainly,
I noted the dates of each of the Administrivia
posts up there near the
top (since they range from 1993 to 1995).
And I added the Atlas
of
the Known Lands (having dug up the last two postings of it
and
munged them together a bit back a couple of months ago, with
an
overall improvement in formatting).
26 November 2002
I FOUND IT! I'm so happy. I was rooting through the
alt.pub.dragons-inn archives at http://www.eyrie.org/ftp/apdi/ and
found "Night on the Town, part 2" which wasn't actually called that,
which is why I never could find it. It's actually called
[GATM][ELR]Exposition Blues. Ha! Yay!
Oh and I updated a couple of little things - some links for other apdi
pages at my main alt.pub.dragons-inn
web page and a miscellaneous
post I wrote as
Jameson W. Walker in response to a post by Andrew
Solberg (both are
there, halfway down under Random JWW
fragments, subject "You Say It,
I'll Sing It")
18 November 2002
I found Alfvaen! I used to know him in ye old alt.pub.dragons-inn
days... his page is at http://www.telusplanet.net/public/alfvaen/.
I found it by accident, looking for someone who posted to
alt.callahans back in the early 1990's named "Shadowfox" -
Google
screwed with my search for "Shadowfox callahans" (mainly
cuz it got
zero hits) and gave me back "Shadowfax callahans" (note
the vowel
change) and Alfvaen had a link. Funny.
Turns out I was looking for the wrong name anyway - conflating the
nicks of two lovely women, Shadowshine and Thoughtfox. Ah well.
Anyway, I put his link on my apdi page, even though he's taken
down
all his apdi stuff. Just cuz.
13 September 2002
Happy Friday the 13th. Fixed a style issue on the front page that
meant "center" wasn't working with Netscape 6. Whatever... also
added a TON of essays to THOUGHTS &
ESSAYS. (Well, maybe
not a full ton. Bits are lighter than you think.)
23 April 2002
Updated my People page
to note a bunch of broken links (and one
or two changed ones that I'd
missed). Needs more updating, but
I'm planning a major overhaul soon,
so I'll probably leave it til then.
28 March 2002
3 March 2002
Updated a bunch of formatting. I'm trying to break myself of the
forced line break habit... Not on this page, though. *sigh*
1 March 2002
The black background on THOUGHTS &
ESSAYS was giving me a
headache. Changed it to a default, and
shifted the lettering from
"skyblue" to "darkblue." Like you care.
17 February 2002
Cleaned up my FLAMAGE
page by putting dates on the main page for
each entry and then putting
"Random Musings from the VOID mailing
list" in date order. I also
added a flame that I wrote back in October
1996 called The
Joys of Tech Support - AKA "I wrote a song today"
5 February 2002
Well, shit. I've had a typo on my home page for over SEVEN years and
I never noticed til just now. Damn. Anyway, I fixed it. Remember
what
it was? (Hint: "As brevity is the sole of lingerie...")
Put two short shots in THOUGHTS &
ESSAYS called just
one of those
days from back in October 2001 and another one called tragic
brain
waves from December. Hey, they kinda rhyme.
Bonus amusement value - I've never done a a vanity search on
Google
before and I did today and I plugged in Kelly Cooper (no
quotes or
nothing) and MY web page comes up first! Out of "about
377,000"!
Woo hoo!
13 December 2001
Updated my Bio and my People page
to reflect the fact that I moved.
Of course, I moved back in June,
but who the hell keeps track?
21 August 2001
23 March 2001
29 January 2001
Cleaned up The Dragon's
Inn pages a little. A couple of outside links
are dead - noted
such next to them. Added a sort of introductory bit
at the top of the
page. I'll probably refine that some more. Someday.
I'm thinking of
creating a better index for the [MG] thread as well.
Or maybe not.
16 January 2001
15 December 2000
11 November 2000
As usual, primarily threw updates into THOUGHTS &
ESSAYS.
This time, in the form of:
(a) adding over a dozen new essays
and
(b) putting the dates of each brain fart on the main page
BUT, I did throw a new flame into FLAMAGE
called Then
Monkeys
Flew Out My Butt. Rare. I don't flame as much as I
used to.
13 July 2000
9 September 1999
It hasn't actually been this long since I updated the page, but I
haven't
made any substantial public changes since then, so I
didn't bother
updating things here. I DID however, just add a
bunch of stuff (13 pieces)
to THOUGHTS &
ESSAYS (not worth listing them all, you can find
them from the
top of that page starting with "Appearances" and running
into the
older stuff after "Paranoia II") accumulated since February.
2 February 1999
14 October 1998
19 July 1998
23 November 1997
Bugger. Can't remember what I did, but I've fixed a bunch of stuff in
the last couple of months. In my
PEOPLE
section mostly, I think.
Anyway, today I finally got with the 1990's and put some color into my
page. I re-arranged some things, mostly house-cleaning. Please let
me know if you can't see stuff. It'll probably take forever for this
stuff to trickle down to the pages.
I also added a new section on THOUGHTS &
ESSAYS. I considered
putting in a section on my dreams, but I
can't honestly say that I want
the world knowing so much about
me.
3 April 1997
It occurred to me that my Page
O'People was missing a lot of my friends,
so I added some more until I got too tired. Then I went to bed. The
end.
8 February 1997
I added 3 more pieces to The Long Walk Home, a story I'm writing
about my character Jameson
W. Walker on the newsgroup
alt.pub.dragons-inn.
4 October 1996
- Added the beginning of the [HA] thread to
my page on Jameson W.
Walker, which disappeared but may rise again.
- Set up the first chapter of my new thread on alt.pub.dragons-inn -
it's also on Jameson's
page.
9 August 1996
- FINALLY ADDED THE
SMARTIES TICKET! to my humor page.
(Extremely nerdly humor).
- And, fixed a couple of links in my bio to friends
& folks.
30 June 1996
Sorry I haven't updated much recently... life's been busy. Anyway,
the only thing I did was add A
Woman's Story to the FLAMAGE page.
15 March 1996
- Added a piece that was tagential to the [KAN] thread on
alt.pub.dragons-inn which involved my character Jameson &
which is rather amusing.
- Straightened up MG and added
some editorial commentary.
4 March 1996
27 January 1996
- Found several bits of the MG thread that
had been left out (oversights
on my part) - added them. There are
a few more to be added, I'm sure,
plus the ending pieces where it bled
into the [LH] thread aren't there...
- Checked all the links under the Dragon page - they all work as
they
should. (Still flat files though, my apologies. No plans to
html'ize them
until I've got all of them ON the damn page).
26 January 1996
- Started this file.
- Fixed permissions on The Dragon
Pages so you can actually read 'em
all now.
- Did the same for Jameson W. Walker's
page - my main personal
character for the Dragon's Inn. I also
added some bits: a descriptive
interlude I'd forgotten I'd written &
some details on creatures & places
I created early on in my stay at
The Dragon's Inn...
- Fixed some other random permissions all over the place. (You
people
really should TELL me when you can't read things obviously
intended
to be read instead of suffering in silence.)
- Updated a BUNCH of links... not all, but many (except for the
one's
under "OTHER" which still need a lot of work).
Back up to
my main page
