Savory Recipes

The amounts given in these recipes for herbs and spices, where any amounts are given at all, are extremely approximate. I don't actually measure these; I do it all by eye and by instinct. Smell each spice and put in as much as seems appropriate. You'll probably want to fine-tune the spicing anyway, since this is all seasoned to my taste; if you don't like coriander seed, you'll probably want to reduce or remove it in all my recipes; if you like cilantro, or coriander leaf (as I do not), add it wherever you feel it appropriate, etc.
