Okay, this show represents a complete failure of my reviewing habits, but we were on vacation in Denver and we went with our friend Andy to see his friend's band at his local rock dive, the Lion's Lair. Very odd to see people smoking in a bar! The first act was Bambi Lee Savage, who was solo with a guitar. She was rootsy and countrified and sung mostly woman-done-wrong songs. Then our friend's friend's band started, and they hadn't quite figured out their name yet, and I don't even remember what they were calling themselves for the night. Sorry. I was actually really nervous when they started, because it was really rough, but they got their feet under them soon enough. I vaguely remember a lot of swirly space rock, and that we were really tired, so it was interesting but we didn't stay for their whole set.
